Modern technology.

Trouble in computer Paradise.
So blogging is going to be difficult for the next few days; but I will be back very soon!

Bags from the past V

Made with dark blue corduroy and light blue flower fabric, which Delfien especially bought for me in India. As a finishing touch I added a few pompoms.

Wordle.

Because I feel sick and got no energy to sew or make something, I decided to go for an easy post today and made a 'Wordle'. It shows the most used words of your blog or website. The larger the word, the more frequently used. Why doesn't it surprise me that the word BAG is so BIG?

Number Two.

A second version of the Katrina Bag. For this one I used jeans fabric and a fabric sample from this gorgeous interior design store.

The Katrina bag.

Yesterday Katrina sent me a mail with the news that my bag for the Swap had arrived, so now I can show it here. It's a simple blue/turquoise bag with a bold green lining and with a bow wrapped around it. On the inside there are three pockets, one with a zipper and to finish it of I added a little good luck-doll. You can admire the other Swap-bags here.

Worried.

I'm starting to get slightly worried that the bag I made for Katrina still hasn't arrived. I want to show you some pictures, but I also don't want to ruin the surprise for her (if it ever arrives!).
So I leave you with pictures of the making of... and in the meanwhile, keep my fingers crossed.

Hurray for mail!

Look at what arrived in the mail yesterday: a great bag made by my swap partner Katrina! Wrapped in rainbow plastic and with a little handwritten note, this cheerful bag made my day. And there was not only a bag, but she also made a practical purse to go with it. Now if only someone can tell me were the lovely blue swirly fabric comes from, because I love the colours.
Thank you very much Katrina!

Bags from the past IV.

Bags from the past III.

Made from Ikea leftover fabric and an old satin nightgown.

Chair update.

An update on how the two chairs are coming along. The Skruvsta is half finished. But I'm getting there, slowly that is.

The other one is almost finished. The only thing missing is a cushion and something tells me that it is going to take a while before that will appear in the chair. Again, slowly but sure... Will see. Some day. Ever. Who knows.

Bags from the past II

Inspired by this little beauty.

A fine day.

Yesterday was my Birthday and it was a good day. My mother helped me cook diner, starting with pumpkin soup with coconut milk and fresh ginger and ending with dark and white chocolate mousse, raspberry coulis, whipped cream and some very fine biscuits. Everything homemade. And to top it of, my best friend Delfien made a delicious cake with freshly plucked raspberries. After that sugar rush it was time for some gifts, including this perfume and Ikea fabrics, watching lots of hilarious X-factor auditions on YouTube and ending a great day in a weird bar, but having lots of fun.

So thank you Delfien, for the great, quite 'marginale' night and also for the beautiful Babushka card you made me!

The rest of the day I will be finishing of my bag for 'The great big bag-a-holic autumn swap', so I can post it tomorrow. Enjoy your Sunday!
