I needed a small bag to store my GPS.  So Sunday evening I made a little bag without having a pattern or good plan.  This is what I came up with.
It's far from perfect, but for now it will have to do.

And I also finally finished this bag. At least almost, it just needs some handles, so more pictures will follow soon.
Enjoy the weekend!

Take away.

These fabric swatches were hanging outside a soft furnishing shop, free to take.
So naturally,  fabric geek that  I am, I did.

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens.

One of my nieces is sick today, so I'm on babysitting duty.
The other one (twins you see) needs to be entertained and one of her favorite things to do is watching home videos on the computer.
This is one is our favourites, made a year and a half ago.

I've made yet another Tatanne Bag.  I know you're probably already sick and tired of it and frankly  I'm  too, but this was a custom order from my neighbour so I really couldn't refuse. She wanted a bag big enough for her knitting materials, so I had to enlarge the entire pattern which resulted in a big bag.

Glad to have it finished, I could get on with making other things, one of them being a New Years gift for my godson Jules. Here's a sneak peek:

For now, I don't have any other pictures of  it (forgot to make any), but as soon as I do, I will post them.
Have a great Wednesday y'all!

The Bible.

A while back I bought Vogue magazine for the very first time. It was because I couldn't decide on which magazine to choose and also because the lovely Carey Mulligan (did you see 'An eduction'? Great film by the way) was on the cover, so I caved an bought what is known in fashion as 'The Bible'.

As in almost every magazine the first few pages were filled with some ads.

 14 pages to be exact.

No wait, 28 pages.

No-oh, let me correct that, 44 pages.
Now we can start to read!

Or not quite  yet, it's just the table of contents, people!
Which at this point is hard to believe: the fact that there will be actual content to this magazine.

But we're not giving up just yet, we're now at advertising page 56 & still going strong.

At this point, they even promise there will be more content to the magazine.

Be patient, we're almost there.

 Ah! We've made it!
We've turned 84(!) pages to finally find an article.

Hallelujah & Praise the Lord!
For I was blind and now I see,
I will never buy Vogue again.

Zus enZo.

My talented niece Nele got a VAT number for Christmas and so now she can get started with her own little business. She is super creative and does a whole lot of different things:

She painted these little chairs and table for my nieces, using the drawing from their birth announcement.

She painted every single one of these Feye cups and made the matching doll.
She restored an old rocking horse and also makes beautiful murals for children's rooms or playrooms.

Therefore if you're looking for an original present, make sure to check out her new blog: Zus enZo!

Movies I've seen this Holiday Season: a selection.

Sleepless in Seattle: a classic, but still good.

Homecoming: still don't know why I watched this.

Komt een vrouw bij de dokter: the first time I couldn't sympatise with the protagonist of a movie.

Into the Wild: great story, great acting.

Dear John: boy loves girl, girl loves boy, but it ain't never that simple, isn't it?

The Red Baron: WWI  German fighter pilots speaking English. Nuff said.

Kings of Pastry: after seeing this documentary, baking will never be the same again, trust me.
